the argument paragraph

          In my opinion I believe that having quizzes and homework assignments throughout the semester is the best way to learn a material. I think that they help to understand the material and memorizing through practicing and studying at home. Usually, teachers give homework assignments every class to make the students practice more what they have taken in the class, and to assure that they understand it. Homework are actually measuring the students understanding for something, so if they did the homework correctly, it approves that they understand , and they are in the right path; However, if they did it wrong, it means that they need more help and explanations to understand it. Quizzes also are very helpful in understanding and memorizing the important information in the material. Through weekly or monthly quizzes, students will have to study a particular part in the material usually a whole chapter, so if the finals arrive, he will have been already understands most if it is not all the material. Although a lot of students including me are complaining from quizzes and homework assignments, we do realize their importance in our learning and improvement.

My spring break

        My spring break wasn't so perfect because I got sick in the middle of it. My first day was perfect , I went with my family to Disneyland California Adventure for the first time. I was excited because I love everything related to Disney, and it really was a great day. We rode almost all the rides and lived the experience. Some of them were funny and others were scary such as the California Screaming. It was my first time ever to ride such a fast ans scary ride; however I unexpectedly enjoyed it. In general, I liked every thing I have seen. The second day, we went to Newport Beach and had taken an Arabic coffee with some candies beside the tea.which was amazing. Although it was so cold , I really enjoyed the magical scene of the waves the most importantly the sun set. As I always used to do when I was a little girl, I took my shoes off and played in the water , which brings back childhood feelings again, so as well we enjoyed our trip. Next day, We headed to San Diego. We visited San Diego's old town ,which has a great stuff from old people and traditional items of Mexican and American Indian people. we had bought some gifts for our our families and had lunch after that. At the end of the day, we visited our friends from our country and stayed there for hours and had a lot of fun. Finally, unfotunatly got sick that day and it got even worse the second day, so we had to cancel or at least postpone our plans for a time. We wanted to go to Las Vegas to see it and to visit a friend there, but my sudden sickness had ruined every thing^_^. That's very much how my spring break was.

My Dream Job

           My Dream Job

 

 

My dream job is teaching because I believe that it has a noble

message as well as it plays an imprtant role in educating the peole to be

something important in the future.  Since I was a little girl , I used to pretend

 to be a teacher. I played this role very well and put a lot of effort in it and 

believed it; I even had my own white boared. I like to stand up in front of it

with a marker and pretending to explain some thing. I usually creat my own

imaginary class and explain something from  one of my materials. Also, I have

made tests for this imaginary  class. It obvious that I always believed in the

importance of teaching as well as other features that the teachers have rather

than any workers in any place. Overall, teaching is a huge resposibility that

a person ,who choose it, must realize. I can't wait to be a teacher and have

my own class and students , and to help in developing my country by bringing

an educated, qualified students who deserve better jobs and help our country as well

because laerning is every one's resposibility.

 

 

 

 



The Princes and the Lion

 
        When he opened the door, everyone was holding his breath waiting for what is coming next. The young handsome soldier was relaxed and so confident that the princess will save him. He trusted her love completely, so he walked in excited to see what is behind that door. “Hi Handsome," the lovely lady said "I was waiting for you.". By this time people have been shouting and clapping from the excitement and a big smile had shown in the princess's face. On the other hand, the king was shocked because in his deeps he wanted to get rid of him and push him away from his daughter. Meanwhile, the princess was afraid that her lover would forget about her and fall in love with the lovely lady, but despite her obvious beauty and kindness, the soldier couldn't forget the princess. He is fighting for his love. Finally, the soldier came out from the door to tell the king that " No matter how much you've tried, you won't be able to take us apart ... I will always love her.". The princess was so happy and knew that she did the right thing. "It was the right decision" she said to herself. At the end, when the king saw how strong their love is, he realized that whatever he does, he will never be able to separate them. Finally, the soldier and the princess got married and lived happily ever after.  

 

Invisibility

       

      Having a superpower would be something amazing that brings action and fun into our lives. For me I would like to be invisible like the girl in the fantastic four movie. invisibility help me  going to places that I can't  go to  usually for any reason or attending  events that I didn't get invited to. For example, I live near by the Anaheim city grove and there is always parties that I really wanted to see, so if i can be invisible I can walk among them comfortably and enjoying my time.  

Another reason is to attend the Oscars in Los Angeles and meet Hollywood celebrities without having any trouble with the crowd or police. that would be a great day ever . Also, if I were invisible, I would swim freely. That's some of  what I'm thinking a bout and it will be amazing if it can comes true. 

A Little about Me

             

              My name is Maha and  I'm from Saudi Arabia.I'm 24 years old and  I have graduated from the university since 2011 and still don't have a job. My major was English , so I'm planning to study linquistics for my master's degree. I want to be a teacher at the university . I came to America on March 2012 it's almost a year now. Coming to America was a dream comes to true. I had a chance to speak the language that I love with native speakers as I had the chance to meet a new people and live in a completely new and different culture.

              In my free time, I like watching English movies and Tv shows (Comedy ,drama and action) ,and  using the internet. I like to travel and I wish someday I can visit France, Spain, Italy and London. I also have a little interest in soccer. My primary goal here in America is to develop my self in the language and in social interaction since I'm a sensitive and shy person. Also, I'm trying to make friends and meet people from different countries because that would be interesting.
